Robert Merrill Sweeny

"I do what I do because I can't help it.  
It is quite simply the reason I am here," says Sweeny. 
 
What he does is record architectural elements of places that others might not even notice.  After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design 
with a B.F.A. in Photography, Sweeny moved frequently to picturesque spots along the East Coast like Providence and Block Island, RI, 
Lawrence and Boston, MA and Highlands, NC.  
Now settled in Charleston, SC, he continues to draw in pencil, 
keeping masterful records of the many places 
that have caught his eye during his travels.
